MAN CHARGED WITH DRUGS & WEAPONS OFFENCES

A man has been charged with drug and weapons offences after a car and a property in Cannock and Hednesford were searched.

Sam Carnell, 35, from Cannock, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B (cannabis) and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

It comes after officers from our major and organised crime proactive team stopped a car on Mount Street, Hednesford, at around 3pm yesterday (Tuesday 13 January).

They also searched an address in Cannock.

Carnell has been released on bail and is due to appear at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on Monday (26 January).
